Can anyone tell me why i cant see what im typing?

I'd have to guess that you're either not connected to your host or your foreground and background colors are the same. Without any further information from you, it's hard to tell. Can you give more details?

When I type the cursor down't move but when i press enter it respond to what i typed

i had the same problem whilst trying to play a game called mud i think the problem was i telnetted straight into the account without going through my shell account.when i went through my shell account the text APPEARED.It may also of been because you had it set on ansi or something else?
but we need more info to be sure.
