I get winsock error. how do I fix?

I am running xp pro.the site is metropolis.a bbs game site.when I hit play.a message comes up saying winsock error and the bbs refuses log on.

What is the telnet address of the bbs? I'll give it a try.
What winsock error do you get?
What version of Absolute are you using?

I took a look. It looks like the telnet server is down, which is why you get errors.
