4.01 to 4.51 upgrade breaks F keys?

I've been using 4.01 for a while and just recently upgraded to 4.51 and afterwards I noticed that function keys are behaving differently. I use mc a lot on a Linux system and after the upgrade it seems function keys are appending a carriage return or something. Example, when I press F4 to edit a text file a new line is inserted at the top of the document. Also, when in the mc editor, none of the F keys work. The ESC+n alternatives all work properly. Was a config setting added/removed/changed somewhere?

Actually, that was a bug in 4.51 that has since been fixed. Give 4.61 a try. 4.61 has been completed, but has not yet been officially announced. You can download it here:
