Hi, Can someone please post the differences between the free, lite, and pro? I am a little hesitant to try this over the other free software like putty and poderosa if I need to pay for minor features.

Thanks.
🙂

Pro has all features and no time limits (not free)
Demo has all features but has time limits (free)
Lite has limited features (no SSH or file transfer) and no time limits (free)

I suggest you try out the demo version first to see if you like it. Try the lite version if you don't need SSH.

thx for the info. hard to beat the other free stuff. i liked the tabbed sessions with poderosa, but it didn't have the x11 forwarding of putty. abs telnet seemed to have both, but not for free.

That's the state of affairs when hunting for a terminal emulator you like. You'll find an application that has feature 'X', another application that has feature 'Y', and another that has feature 'Z'. However, none will have everything you like!! Putty has this problem in a major way. There are probably 100 different putty distributions that each have a particular feature added on. Many of these features will never make it to the standard distribution, so remain as one-off enhancements.

That's the reason I started building AbsoluteTelnet/SSH. There were a lot of things I liked and disliked about various packages, so I thought the only way to have something that did everything I wanted was to build it myself. And AbsoluteTelnet was born!! It sure has evolved over time, and can now rival just about any other package..

Things I like that you don't often find in other packages

1. Tabbed Interface
2. 'Search' the scrollback (I use this constantly)
3. GUI SFTP
4. FIPS validated cypto module (govt grade security)
5. x11 forwarding
6. Scripting
