Gentlemen :

I am testing your product, conecting my WIn2000
with a unix box SCO UNIX, but need to solve issue
described below, in order to purchase it.

I was using PC/TCP product in my old WIn95, and used escape secuence "Esc&k2S" to print reports in 17 cpi, and worked OK. in my Hp laser 4.

Applications are developed under RM/COBOL on a SCO-UNIX box.

Every thing works ok with your product, but when printing to local printer HP laser 4, I am not able to print reports in 132 columns at 17 cpi (compressed).

It seems that escape sequence to the printer dont work here ??.

Is it possible to do this with your product ??.

Best

Willie,

If you know what type of printer you have connected to the client and you know precisely what escape sequences you want to send to it to control it, you can choose the 'print direct to printer' option in Options->Properties->VT Options. Data, then, is sent directly to the printer instead of interpreted as text.

Of course, your escape sequence will only work on a LaserJet or other printer capable of interpreting PCL printer escapes.

Let me know if this helps!!!

Brian :

Have already solved printing problem, with your suggestion.

My evaluation process was for one of our clients.
I have send demo to him with your suggestion and prices.

He will probably contact you soon, directly, in order to purchase product.

Thanks for your response
